Dry Mountain Area
Dry Mountain is a relatively difficult peak to hike to the top of. Although the roundtrip distance is only about twelve miles on the most popular route, the hike entails a rather large elevation gain/loss. Further there is no trail to smooth out the journey for the hiker and so Dry Mountain is climbed on a relatively infrequent basis. However, there are other sites in the area that are worth visiting. Probably the most popular of these sites are the hot springs in Saline Valley just southwest of the peak. (Click here to view area map.)
