A dirt road extends north of Route 190 and passes by the east of Lake Hill
and continues to the Big Four Mine. The last mile or so to the mine is very
rough. The best place to park for a hike to Panamint Dunes is where the road
turns east. There is a flat, clear area at this location. The walk to the
dunes is three or four miles each way depending on how far into the dune
area you explore. The tops of Lemoigne and Marble canyons are shown on this
map for contextual reasons only. These two canyons are covered on separate
pages.
