Shepherd Canyon (September 2009)

TRAILHEAD: End of road just north of wash at mouth of Shepherd Canyon.
DISTANCE: seven miles
ROUTE: I hiked up Shepherd Canyon aproximately one and three-quarters of a mile. I turned southeast and entered a side canyon and hiked up it until I reached a pass to an unnamed canyon at approximately three miles. Then I hiked down the entire length of the unnamed canyon until I reached Panamint Valley. There I followed the road from Reilly back to the trailhead. When this road crosses the wash it's easy to lose track of it for about one hundred yards or so.
